Fischbowl Blogger

As I was watching the fischbowl.blogspot, I was astonished by some of the information presentated, however, not really surprised. I was somewhat surprised that Great Britan was the number 1 over several important subjects that should be the concern of all americans. I truly am not surprised by the technology that has developed over the last few years.

I recall working in insurance offices with electric typewriters, with carbon paper between pages (with ink all over your fingers) when you attempted to do typing corrections with erasers, without spellcheck, sending carbon copies of the letters out manually, and if you did not review the letter, statements, etc., correctly, they were sent out with errors, how horrible.

I am very concerned that our Representatives, are lagging behind with keeping our schools updated with more modern equipment, computers, etc. I believe every child in America, should have access to a computer in school, hopefully, in their homes.

I am very excited about the future of our society, especially, our young people, who should not have any limitations about their future and the future of our society.

  1. So you remember carbon paper! I made a talk recently and the secretaries at school supplied me with some carbon paper so I could show some of the audience what it was! Time flies!

My desire is for every student to have their own device that connects to the internet. I started to say "computer", but it is not a computer that I think is necessary, rather a device that connects us to "all information in all places at all times." By this I mean that I want that device to be with everyone all the time! We are close to that being possible. It also needs to be a reality!
